YOUTH GROUP

The youth group at Burbank First is open to everyone, with lessons on Sunday mornings and a monthly Game Night! By creating a family dynamic, we focus on the love of Jesus Christ. We accept all of God's children! Join us for some fun and fellowship!


We are an active group that come together to discuss school, life, God, and much more. Alongside our weekly meetings, we also do an ample amount of mission work. From our yearly trips with the Sierra Service Project, to We Care bags, to our Pancake Dinner, we are always looking for ways to serve.

THIS WEEK: It’s Senior Sunday! The entire Youth Group will attend Sunday Morning worship and fellowship to celebrate Liam Collazos, our graduating senior. This will be a special celebration for this exciting milestone!

It’s (Almost) Gonna Be May! Don’t miss out on these special events coming up:


  • May 17 - Youth Party
  • This party’s theme is “Flapjacks and Finals”! Finals season got ya down? Barron’s Famous Pancakes are exactly what you need to lift your spirits! Chef Connie is making the Youth Group her special pancakes. From 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM, you can grab some pancakes and hang out in the Youth Room to have fun and reset before rocking your finals.
  • May 30 - Catacombs
  • Join Chris and Laura for the last Catacombs of the semester! Bring a friend, a snack to share, and a completed Permission Form per participant. This will be an epic night with our Youth Group’s version of hide and seek!
  • Every participant must bring a printed and signed (by a parent/guardian) Permission Form in order to play the game. If you bring a brand new friend, they need to have one as well! If you have already completed it, you don’t need to turn another one in. Contact Youth Director Laura (laura@bfumc.net) if you are unsure of your Permission Form’s status.

sierra service project

  • SSP Trip Meeting: Sunday, June 14 from 10:45 to 11:45 AM. All participating Youth, Parents/Guardians, and Volunteers, join us in the Youth Room to review critical details for the SSP Trip. Email Laura at laura@bfumc.net if you need a Zoom alternative in order to join the meeting. This will be an important gathering to ensure we are all on the same page before the trip!   • Join us in prayer with our Youth Group as they prepare to embark on their journey to Del Norte County, CA on July 18-26.
